Jamie Armstrong Eliminated, But Not Going Anywhere

Justin Zaki raises to 1,200 from under the gun, a player in middle position calls, and Jamie Armstrong moves all-in from late position for 24,350.  Zaki calls and the other player folds.

Zaki turns over [QsQc] and Armstrong shows [6c6h].  As the dealer is about to run out the board, a cocktail waitress arrives with what looks like a glass of scotch for Armstrong.

The flop comes [AhQd6s], giving both players a set. Zaki comments to his friend at the table that he saw the six first and it took a second to notice the queen.  

Armstrong, meanwhile, says nothing, and starts to search for money to pay the server, as the turn brings the [10c] and the river the [5s]. There is some hesitance from the dealer, but she eventually pushes the pot Zaki’s way.

Armstrong, meanwhile, has his back to the table, and when he turns back around after paying for his drink, is shocked to see his chips are gone.

"What happened?"

The dealer explains that Zaki flopped a set as well, but Armstrong looks bewildered. It is only after five or six other players at the table confirm to Armstrong that he lost the pot that he accepts his fate. He does not, however, accept that it is time to go.

First glancing at his newly obtained drink, then at the dealer, he asks, "Can I hang out though?"

The dealer tries to tell him no, that the seat will need to be filled soon. Armstrong doesn’t seem to take no for an answer, so she continues to deal around him, giving him a minute to sip his drink.

The hand ends up as a misdeal and she reiterates to Armstrong he is out of the event. He is still not giving up though.

"Do I have to leave?"

She informs him, yes, he has to leave, then throws the seat card for his seat in front of him for added emphasis. Someone at the table suggests Armstrong just stay until the seat card is collected.

Armstrong balks. "Who wants to sit here?"

After a few more sips, Armstrong decides it is time to go, gathers his drink, and heads for the door.
