John D'Agostino Doubles Thru Vanessa Selbst

A player in middle position raises to 8,200, Vanessa Selbst calls behind him, John D’Agostino calls from the cutoff, and Lee Markholt defends from the big blind.

The flop comes down [Js9h7h] and action checks to D’Agostino, who bets 21,000.  Action folds around to Selbst and she thinks a minute or two before setting out enough 5,000 chips to put D’Agostino all-in for his remaining 89,800.

D’Agostino calls instantly and flips over [Jh10h] for top pair with a gutshot straight flush draw.  He looks at Selbst, waiting for her to turn over her hand.

Selbst double checks her cards and jokingly asks, "Do I have to?"

D’Agostino laughs as he tells her, "No you can muck right now and give me the chips."

Selbst turns over [10c10d] and she is drawing to one out for the win and three outs to chop.  The [Jc] on the turn takes away one of Selbst’s outs, which she hits with the [10d] on the river.

D’Agostino’s full house gives him the pot and the double up.  As Selbst counts out chips, she tells D’Agostino, "I was 100% sure you were on some suited connector shit."
