Ke Chen Shoves the Turn to Take One, Then Wins a Race to Knock Out Veerab Zakarian

With the board showing Spade 5Diamond 4Spade 2Club 10 on the turn and about 7,000 already in the pot, Ke Chen bets 2,700 from middle position, the player in the cutoff raises to 7,200, and Chen three-bets all in for 27,100.

The player in the cutoff asks for an exact count and goes into the tank for a very long time before he folds, and Chen takes the pot.

A few minutes later, WPT Champions Club member Veerab Zakarian is all in from middle position for about 12,000 with Spade JDiamond J, and he needs it to hold to stay alive against Ke Chen’s Club AClub K in the big blind.

The board comes Heart ADiamond 6Club 3Diamond KClub 7, and Chen pairs his ace on the flop and his king on the turn to win the pot with two pair and eliminate Zakarian from the tournament.
