Kelly's Day Ends

A player raises to 700 and Tim McDermott calls from the button to kick things off. Dan Kelly makes the call from the big blind and the flop brings out [4c8s6h].

Kelly checks to the initial raiser who checks as well and McDermott bets 1,200. Kelly check-raises to 3,200 and the third player folds his cards. McDermott makes the call and on the turn the [Kd] pops up.

Kelly bets 5,250 and McDermott tanks for quite a while before moving all in for 26,225. Kelly calls almost right away and turns over [4d4s].

Even though Kelly had a set he is almost drawing dead against McDermott’s [8d][8h]. The river brings the [7h] and Kelly lost this very big pot. After counting down the chips Kelly was covered by just 2,000 chips and he left the tournament room.
