Kristen Bicknell raises from middle position to 4,000, WPT Champions Club member James Calderaro moves all in from the hijack for 56,000, and Bicknell goes into the tank with about 30,000 remaining in her stack.
Calderaro begins talking to Bicknell, and at one point he jokingly says, “Would you like to see my cards? Would that make the decision easier?” Bicknell just laughs, and then Calderaro adds, “But you have to show me your cards too.”
Bicknell says she is probably going to call, and she takes another look at her cards. Calderaro asks if he can see them as well, and she peels them back a bit.
“Ooh, that’s a good call,” says Calderaro.
Bicknell thinks for a little while longer before she calls all in for about 34,000 with , but Calderaro turns over . Bicknell needs to improve to stay alive.
The board comes — both players pair their aces on the flop, and the board brings a gutshot straight draw on the turn, but the river card is a blank. Calderaro wins the pot with his pair of aces and king kicker to eliminate Bicknell from the tournament.
