Mari Lou Morelli Eliminated in 11th Place ($67,944)

Mar 2, 2010

With only a big blind and two antes in her stack, everyone expects Mari Lou Morelli to be the next player to bust.

Andras Koroknai enters the next pot from middle position (its unclear if he limped or raised), Mari Lou Morelli is all in from the button for 23,000, Timothy Begley calls from the small blind and Gevork Kasabyan calls from the big blind. It’s a four-way pot with Morelli facing elimination.

Koroknai, Begley, and Kasabyan check all the way on a board of [Ac9d2c4d5d], and Mari Lou Morelli shows 8-4 for a glimmer of hope with a pair of fours. But Begley shows A-8 for a pair of eights, and Kasabyan shows 10-3 to win the pot with a five-high straight. (Andras Koroknai mucks.)

Mari Lou Morelli, the last woman standing in this tournament, is eliminated in 11th place. The remaining 10 players redraw for seats at a single table.

Gevork Kasabyan  –  900,000
Mari Lou Morelli  –  Out in 11th Place ($67,944)
