Martin de Knijff Eliminated by Freddy Deeb

Apr 21, 2009

Martin de Knijff raises to 25,000, Freddy Deeb calls, and Chad Batista calls. The flop comes 9-9-5, de Knijff and Deeb both check, Batista bets 40,000, de Knijff moves all in, Deeb calls, and Batista folds.

De Knijff shows K-K for an overpair, but Deeb shows 5-5 for a full house, fives full of nines. De Knijff needs a king to stay alive, but the turn and river are both blanks. Freddy Deeb wins the pot with his full house.

Martin de Knijff, the last former WPT World Champion left in the field, has been eliminated.
