Matrone Leads; Conniff, Lemke, Liberto, Pochedly, Santiago All Advance as Day 1A Closes

Play has come to a close on Day 1A of the WPTDS Big Stax XV main event from Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA. Today 220 players took their shot at this event, with 54 players putting chips in the bag to survive until Day 2 on Sunday. Leading the way is Michael Matrone, who won a massive pot on the final hand of the night to put a mountain of 613,000 in the bag.

Matrone is in great company at the top of the leaderboard as notables including Ryan Pochedly (610,500), Brian Lemke (505,000), Asher Conniff(356,600), Andy Santiago (552,000), Justin Liberto (306,500), and Mike Linster (249,500) all advanced. Also advancing is Kane Kalas (115,500), Dave Stefanski (291,000), Greg Himmelbrand (227,500), Bob Hover (310,000), and Jamie Kerstetter (129,000).

There were also a flurry of notable players that did have such luck and failed to find a bag. Among the departed were Tarun Gulati, Mike Dentale, Chris Tryba, Brian Lee, Esther Taylor-Brady, DJ MacKinnon, James Lillis, and Joe Reddick.
