Four-Way Pot
Photo:  Ronit Chamani (seat 4, far left) and Mike Reardon (seat 9, far right) were both all in as they watched as the dealer put out the turn card, waiting to see if the active players in seat 6 and seat 8 would bet.

The under-the-gun player in seat 6 raises to 1,125, the player in seat 8 calls from middle position, Mike Reardon calls from middle position, and Ronit Chamani moves all in from the small blind for 8,750. The next two players call, and Reardon moves all in for 17,675. The UTG player calls, and the first middle-position tanks for a while before he calls as well.

There is 36,075 in the main pot, and another 26,775 in the side pot that Chamani doesn’t qualify for. There are two players who still have chips, and any further betting will increase the side pot.

The players in seats 6 and 8 check all the way down on a board of Club QClub 6Heart 3Spade 6Heart 5, and Chamani perks up a bit at the lack of action and says, “So you’re saying there’s a chance …”

The players turn over their cards:

UTG Player (Seat 6):  Spade ASpade J  (ace high)
MP Player (Seat 8):  Heart 9Diamond 9  (two pair)
Mike Reardon:  Heart 7Heart 6  (trip sixes)
Ronit Chamani:  Heart ASpade Q  (ace high)

Reardon wins the entire pot with his trip sixes to nearly quadruple his chip stack to more than 62K.
