Moment of Silence for Gavin Smith

There was a moment of silence before the start of play on Day 3 at the WPT Gardens Poker Championship to honor Gavin Smith (pictured), who passed away unexpectedly last night at the age of 50. Smith earned his spot in the WPT Champions Club when he won the WPT Mirage Poker Showdown back in Season IV, and he was also WPT Player of the Year during that season.

Smith was a friendly, funny, and talkative person who made any poker table he was playing at a good time. Smith is survived by his two sons that he dearly loved. He will be missed by the poker community and the WPT family.
