MonteDam Swing Reaches its Climax

With 34 players left in the WPT Main Event, and only 28 getting paid, we turn our attention to the MonteDam Swing leaderboard, and who is in line for a whole host of prizes courtesy of PokerStars and the WPT.

If you need reminding, here are the prizes on offer for players who perform well across both stops. The top five finishers of the MonteDam Swing leaderboard will earn the following prizes:

1. 1st: PokerStars Championship Barcelona Main Event package (worth €7,500)
2. 2nd: WPT Main Event* package (worth €6,000)
3. 3rd: WPTDeepStacks* package (worth €3,000)
4. 4th: PokerStars National Championship Barcelona Buy-in (€1,100) + Barcelona hotel voucher (€500)
5. 5th: WPTDeepStacks* Buy-in (€1,500)

As well as the chance to move further up the leaderboard, the following five players will all receive a bonus €1,000 if the cash in the WPT Main Event. The events in which they have already cashed in the MonteDam Swing are listed after their name.

Andreas Klatt – Cashed 1st in the PSC National Championship & 2nd in the PSC Main Event
Fabrice Soulier – Cashed 55th in PSC Main Event
Louis Salter – Cashed 234th in PSC National Championship
Omar Lakhdari – Cashed 112th in PSC National Championship
Arezki Belaidi – Cashed 100th in PSC Main Event

Currently Dutchman Paul Gresel is the only player to have cashed in both Monte Carlo (80th in the PSC Main Event & 18th in the WPTDeepStacks) so is the de facto leader of the MonteDam Swing, but keep an eye on the players above as they look to join him.
