– David Pham may be the best unrecognized player in the world. He owns three WSOP bracelets and multiple WPT final table finishes, but very broken English and a quiet table manner have left him somewhat incognito.

Pham originally came to America as a penniless immigrant, when his cousin Men ‘The Master’ Nguyen took him under his wing and taught him how to play poker. The feeling of late is that the student has surpassed the master; he’s highly respected throughout the professional community.

– Danny Wong and JC Alvarado have gotten to know one another from playing in tournaments at Commerce Casino.

– Tenth and eleventh both get $25,000 and change, so I expect the next elimination to be quick. After that, we go to one table of ten player, which will slow things down, with a $15,000 pay jump to ninth, which should slow things down more.
