After 13 20-minute levels Mourad Tounnouti (pictured above) is taking forward a healthy stack of 194,000 to Day 2, leading a pack of 20 who made it through the special Day 1c ‘Fast Chance’ flight of the WPTDeepStacks Brussels Main Event.

Just 52 players entered, including the likes of Andy Hills, Pierre Neuville and Jakub Wojtas. However come the end of the day neither of these three were making it through to Day 2.

It was the likes of big stack Tounnouti, along with Michael Lech (190,700), Pedro Cairat (138,500) and Marc Abousleiman (113,700) who will be taking forward healthy stacks and are best placed to fight for the top prizes once the prize pool is announced tomorrow.

Big names advancing from Day 1c are Christophe De Meulder (50,400) and defending champion Laurent Polito (59,900)(pictured above). After failing to make it through 1b, Polito, who took home €90,000 last November for winning WPTDS Brussels will be making it through to Day 2 and joining the 30 from Day 1a and 49 from Day 1b, meaning there will be 99 players in the Day 2 field.
