Nicholas Verderamo Eliminated In Second Place ($66,583)

Apr 24, 2017

Nicholas Verderamo

Nicholas Verderamo faced an uphill battle when heads up play started and couldn’t fully overcome the chip lead of Jose Montes.

Verderamo moved all-in for 2,300,000 and Montes called from the big blind. Verderamo had one over with Heart AHeart 6 against the Club 7Spade 7 of Montes.

The Spade JDiamond 5Diamond 3 flop kept Montes ahead and the Heart 7 turn gave Montes a set. Verderamo needed a four for a straight but missed on the Spade 6 river.

Verderamo takes home $66,583 for his second place run and Montes claims his first WPTDeepStacks victory. A winner’s recap will be posted shortly.
