Nipun Java's Just Glad He Didn't Bust

Aug 27, 2014

Nipun Java raises to 11,500 from the hijack, the player in the small blind calls, and David Chiu calls from the big blind.

The flop comes [QdJc10d] and action checks to Java, who bets 20,000. The player in the small blind callls and Chiu folds.

The two players check it down as the turn pairs the board with the [Jd] and the river pairs it again with the [Qh].

The player in the small blind turns over [AhKs] for a Broadway straight. Java shakes his head and shows that he has flopped a smaller straight with [Kh9s].

"I don’t know how I didn’t bust there," Java tells the table.

Nipun Java – 65,000
