Matthew Noonan probably shouldn’t be here, ground to almost dust so many times over the past few days. Somehow, he dragged his way through, protecting his chips, pressuring whenever he could, stealing blinds like a thief in the night. Now, incredibly, he is chip leader.
Raising to 500,000 pre-flop, Noonan goads Roscoe into a call.
"Come on, you shouldn’t even think about it. 500,000 is nothing to you!"
Roscoe makes the call. The flop comes [Td8c4s] and Roscoe bets 500,000. Noonan raises to 1.3 million and Roscoe calls.
The turn is the ‘Kh and Roscoe checks. Noonan shoves all-in, and is snapped off by Roscoe, who turns over [Kc8s] for two-pair. Noonan leaps out of his chair, flips over [ThTc] and yells to his rail.
"Now, we might have a chance!" It’s just reward for some amazing comebacks here, from a short-stack to chip leader.
But there is another all-in and call in the next hand…
