Owen Crowe Busts a Player

Feb 13, 2015

The flop comes 9spade6diamond2spade, a player bets from the blinds and Owen Crowe calls from early position. The turn is the Aspade. The player bets again, Crowe raises, and his opponent calls.

The river pairs the board with the 2heart and the player moves all in for a little less than 9,000. Crowe thinks for a while, then calls.

“Two pair,” the player announces as he shows 6club9heart for nines and sixes. Crowe shows Aheart10clubfor aces and deuces and takes the pot, busting the player in the process.

After the player exits, tablemate Peter Jetten comments, “He had three pairs. That’s a lotta pairs.” As the discussion continues, Jetten suggests the player didn’t notice the board had paired until after he shoved all in.

Owen Crowe – 39,000
