Pascal Hartmann Eliminated in 7th Place ($25,716)

Mar 17, 2015

Pascal HartmannPascal Hartmann raised to 50,000 under the gun and action folded to Vladimir Krastev in the hijack. Krastev three-bet to 150,000 and Hartmann thought for a while before moving all in.

Krastev, who did not ask for a count, gave it some thought before he ultimately made the call. Hartmann was all in for 650,000 chips and the showdown went as following in this enormous pot.

Hartmann: AheartKheart
Krastev: AdiamondKdiamond

“I have better,” Krastev said with a smile.

“I’m already happy nobody’s freerolling,” Hartmann answered with a smile.

The flop brought 7diamond4diamond9heart and Hartmann’s facial expression changed from happy to concerned.

“Heart on the turn,” Sotirios Koutoupas said, to add more fire to this already blazing hand.

The turn however was the 3diamond and Hartmann was drawing dead. Krastev got lucky and locked up the hand and the river was the meaningless Jclub.

“Jezus christ!” a player at the table yelled at the completion of the hand.

“Sums up how I run in live poker,” Hartmann added dissapointedly.

“GG,” Krastev said, as he raked in a massive pot, but at the same time showed some compassion for his fallen opponent.

After this hand Krastev has 2,200,000 and he will be our overnight chip leader.
