Pat Lyons raises to 34,000 in the dark from the cutoff and Charlie Carrel (pictured) three-bets to 130,000 from the big blind. “Wouldn’t it be something if I shoved in the dark? All in!” exclaims Lyons.

His tablemates are amazed, none moreso than Carrel. “I feel like the kid in Home Alone,” says Carrel, with his hands on his cheeks and his mouth open, like in the movie.

“I feel so good about my hand. If I look, I probably wouldn’t do this, whatever it is,” says Lyons.

After about 30 more seconds, Carrel calls all in for about 860,000 with Diamond AHeart J. “Let’s see what we have here,” says Lyons, as he turns over Spade 8Club 7. “Alright, I’m feeling it.”

Always the showman, Lyons has attracted a small crowd of spectators around the table, eager to watch the hand.

The board comes down Spade 5Club 3Diamond 2Heart 6Club 8 — Lyons pairs his eight on the river, and everyone around the table goes nuts as Carrel is eliminated by someone who moved all in without looking at his cards.
