Paul Klann and Trevor Pope Eliminated

Dec 9, 2013

There are two quick eliminations at the start of play on Day 4. Paul Klann is one, his exit coming shortly after the call to "shuffle up and deal."

The other comes in a hand beginning with a middle-position raise by John Holsonback to 13,000. Trevor Pope then reraises all in his short stack of less than 40,000 from a seat over, and when it folds to the blinds Alexander Condon reraises all in himself for 101,500.

The action comes back to Holsonback who thinks a while and then calls. The players reveal their hands:

Condon:  [Ah][Kc]
Holsonback:  [10s][10h]
Pope:  [As][Qs]

Pope starts out calling for a queen, but the [Kd][Jd][5c] flop pairs Condon and causes Pope to change course and ask for a ten. The turn is the [6d] and river the [8s], and Pope is out while Condon earns a more-than-double-up.

John Holsonback – 488,000 (122 bb)
Alexander Condon – 245,000 (61 bb)
Trevor Pope – Eliminated
Paul Klann – Eliminated
