Phillip Mighall is the WPT WOC Main Event Champion and Wins $1,550,298; Teun Mulder Bags $1,396,968 for Second Place

A huge couple of hands at the end brought the who tournament crashing down for Teun Mulder. The last saw the Dutchman’s hopes vanish after flopping top set on a Spade 9Diamond AHeart J flop with Club ASpade A. Mulder had raise-called preflop and smooth-called after the flop.

His plan to slow-play was annihilated by Phillip Mighall hitting a gutshot on the Heart 8 turn, with Spade 10Diamond 7 in the hole. The Spade 2 river saw Mighall set the rest of it in with Mulder having 80% of a pot-sized bet left. Needless to say, there was no hesitation in calling and that dynamite hand wrapped up four days of action.

The two players agreed on a deal that sees both players walk away millionaires! As well as $146,000 extra in cash, Mighall will see his name engraved on that iconic WPT Mike Sexton Champions Cup, as well as entry into the WPT Tournament of Champions worth $15,000, a Hublot Big Bang watch also worth $15,000 and a set of Baccarat Crystal everyday tumblers.

Congratulations to both Mighall and Mulder, as well as all of the nine finalists on their superb runs in this historic event.

Phillip Mighall – 202,200,000
