Day 2 of the WPT Bellagio Elite Poker Championship has come to a conclusion with the 126-player field reduced down to just 44 players heading into Day 3 on Thursday.

Julian Parmann (pictured) is the current chip leader with 255,400 in chips, and is closely followed by Daniel Merrilees (245,000), Adrian Garduno (198,000), Kevin MacPhee (178,800), and Jake Schindler (165,000).

A multitude of WPT Champions Club members and other WPT regulars fill the remainder of the field as players will begin to eye the money-paying top 16 where players will be guaranteed a min cash of $15,889, while the top prize of $378,879 (which includes a $15,000 seat to the WPT Tournament of Champions) awaits the eventual WPT Bellagio Elite Poker Championship winner.

A full recap of the day, along with a full list of chip counts and a seating draw, will be posted later tonight.
