Players Invited to WPT's $1 Billion Celebration Tonight at 6:30 pm (Dinner Break)

This is the 16th season of the World Poker Tour, and in that time the WPT has awarded nearly $1 billion in total prize money. In fact, the one-billionth dollar will be awarded here at the WPT Legends of Poker, and the WPT is planning a celebration to commemorate the milestone. (There is also a bonus prize for the player who earns the one-billionth dollar, with more details on that coming later today.)

The Day 1A dinner break begins around 6:30 pm, which, conveniently enough, is when the $1 Billion Celebration begins. There will be a live band, appetizers, and an open bar, so it should be a great way for WPT players to spend their dinner break. (All WPT players are invited.)

There will also be a champagne bar hosted by Color Wine, a California winery that believes in the philosophy that “Wine should be fun.” Color Wine is also sponsoring the unveiling of a painting commissioned to commemorate the WPT’s $1 Billion Celebration.

Tonight’s event begins at 6:30 pm, and lasts until about 9:00 pm. It will be at the Bicycle Hotel & Casino in the Dynasty Room, which is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel (use the hotel elevators).
