The Foxwoods World Poker Finals has been a perennial stop on the World Poker Tour since the first season six years ago. Here’s a look back at the past champions in this event.

Season I (2002)
Winner: Howard Lederer ($345,400)
Field: 89 players
Note: Howard Lederer would go on to win the PartyPoker Million later that season on his way to becoming the Season I WPT Player of the Year.

Season II (2003)
Winner: Hoyt Corkins ($1,089,200)
Field: 313
Note: Hoyt Corkins was the first player to win $1 million in a regular-season WPT tournament.

Season III (2004)
Winner: Tuan Le ($1,574,588)

Field: 783
Note: Nick “The Takeover” Schulman was the first player to win more than $2 million in a regular-season WPT tournament. At the age of 21, he was also the youngest player to ever earn a WPT title.
