Q-8-8 Flop Hits Four Players; Dinara Khaziyeva Wins a Huge Pot

Four players see a flop of [Qd8c8h] with about 45,000 already in the pot. Dinara Khaziyeva checks under the gun, Antonio Esfandiari bets 16,500 from late position, and the cutoff moves all in for 54,500. The woman on the button thought for a bit and called, leaving herself plenty of chips behind. 

Khaziyeva thinks for a little while before she check-raises all in for 124,500, and Antonio laughs after seeing all the action behind his initial bet. 

Antonio says, "This is the biggest hand I’ve had all day. I finally get bullets and this happens." Antonio folds, as does the woman on the button. 

Khaziyeva turns over [8d7d] for trip eights, and she’s way ahead of her opponent’s [AcQs] (pair of queens). The turn is the [5c], the river is the [9s], and Dinara Khaziyeva wins the huge pot.

Here’s an interesting side note about Khaziyeva, who is also a highly-ranked chess player. Her fiance Emmanuel Desmarais is also still alive in this event at the final three tables.
