Ramsey Belmaaza Doubles Thru Jacob Parent In Their First Hand

Oct 25, 2019

Right after another table is opened up and both players begin with starting stacks of 30,000 each, Ramsey Belmaaza and Jacob Parent reraise each other until Parent makes it 7,000 from under the gun, and then Belmaaza moves all in from the big blind for 29,700. (He paid 300 into the big blind ante.)

Parent takes a deep breath and thinks for a bit before he calls with Diamond QClub Q. Belmaaza turns over Diamond AHeart Q, and Parent smiles as he is in excellent shape to double up in his first hand.

But the board comes Spade 5Spade 2Heart 2Heart ASpade J, and Belmaaza pairs his ace on the turn to win the pot and double up in chips. The only difference between their stacks is the big blind ante of 300, so Parent survives the hand with just 300 in chips.

Ramsey Belmaaza  –  60,000  (200 bb)
Jacob Parent  –  300  (1 bb)
