After a very short heads-up match lasting less than 30 minutes, Mohamed Abdou has been crowned the WPTDeepStacks Brussels Main Event Champion.

In the first significant pot between Abdou and Rehman Kassam, the players got all their chips into the middle on the flop with Kassam the player with the advantage.

The flop is down Spade 4Spade QDiamond 9 and Abdou checks before Kassam bets 500,000 into the 1,000,000 pot. Abdou, who has Kassam covered, moves all in and sees his opponent call for 5,000,000.

Abdou tables Club QClub 7 for top pair, but sees he is behind to Kassam’s Heart QClub 10.

Kassam is all set for a double up but the turn card is the Diamond 7 to give Abdou the lead with two pair.

Kassam stands from his seat with just one card remaining to be dealt and sees his fate sealed on the river.

partypoker VIP Account Manager Kassam banks €79,000 as runner-up.

A full recap of the final day’s action will be available shortly.
