Robson Barbosa Leads the 118 Day 1B Survivors

Play has concluded here on Day 1B of the WPTDS Big Stax XV Main Event. Today we saw a massive turn out of 457 players buy into this $1,650 event. At the end of the day it was 118 players surviving, with Robson Barbosa leading the way. Barbosa put an impressive  662,500 in the bag, making him the overall chip leader heading into Day 2.

Also finding a bag here on Day 1B is Joel Gola (650,000), Soheb Porbandarwala (428,000), Paul Volpe (84,500), Kevin Grabel (482,000), Brian Lee (477,000), DJ MacKinnon (189,000), Aristoteles Neto (439,000), Phil Hui (170,500), Adam Levitan (412,500), Vinny Pahuja ( 51,500), Jarred Jaffee (60,500), and Zo Karim (136,500).

Today we also saw a ton of notables take their shot and fall short including WPTDS Player of the Year Tristan Wade, Peter Campo, Tim Reilly, Tarun Gulati, Esther Taylor-Brady, Chris Tryba, and John-Allan Hinds.

Players will still have a chance to make a run in this event as registration remains open until the start of Day 2. Players will receive a full starting stack of 50,000 (10 big blinds), and the button if they register.

The action is set to kick off at 12:00 noon tomorrow, with the live stream kicking off after dinner break. A full list of chip counts will posted shortly.
