Ruijs Caught Bluffing

Apr 17, 2018

Fredrik Andersson has further increased his stack to take a stronghold over his table while Ahmed Abdella walked over to take a seat shortly after and shrugged “second bullet.” Another player to be on his second attempt for the day is Bart Lybaert, who sits one table over and witnessed a big hand between Anton van der Dussen and Joris Ruijs (pictured above).

It started with a raise to 1,000 by van der Dussen and Ruijs three-bet to 3,400 in the small blind, which van der Dussen called. The flop fell Diamond 8Heart 5Diamond 2 and Ruijs continued for 3,100, van der Dussen called.

On the Diamond 6 turn both players checked and Ruijs bet the Heart 2 river for 6,800 with around 9,000 behind. Van der Dussen gave him a staredown and called to get shown Heart KSpade Q, which he had beat with the Heart ADiamond 10.

Fredrik Andersson – 125,000
Anton van der Dussen – 69,000
Bart Lybaert – 50,000
Joris Ruijs – 9,000
