Rusty Moorer Doubles Thru and Cripples Ben Klier

Jan 24, 2011

Ben Klier has had a great day. Until now.

Klier started the day in third-to-last place with just 5,350 in chips, but quickly went on a heater to contend for the chip lead. But with about half an hour left in the day, this happened …

The board showed [Ah8c2cQd7c], and Ben Klier’s [As8s] (two pair, aces and eights) was no good against Rusty Moorer’s [AdQs] (two pair, aces and queens) in an all-in situation.

Ben Klier  –  6,500

About 10 minutes later, Klier is all in preflop against two other players, who check all the way down on a board of [7s6c2s3cJc]. Klier says, "I have a six," and shows [Ah6d] for a pair of sixes. One opponent shows [Ad2h] for a pair of deuces, and the other player mucks. Klier takes the pot to triple up.
