Sam Panzica Passes Mike Sexton in the Hublot WPT Player of the Year Race

Sam Panzica

Now that WPT Champions Club Sam Panzica is guaranteed a top-three showing in this event, he has surpassed Mike Sexton on the Hublot WPT Player of the Year leaderboard. Panzica came into this tournament with 1,050 points from his victory at the WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble last fall and has at least 1,100 more headed his way with his second deep run of the season here.

The number is enough to put him ahead of Mike Sexton, who previously was in second place in the standings. Even if Panzica manages a second title today, he will not be able to catch the current frontruner, Benjamin Zamani, though. He will be very close. A victory would give Panzica 2,450 points and put him just 50 points away from catching Zamani.

Every cash on the WPT is worth at least 50 points, so should he win, Panzica would only need to manage one more cash this season to move into the lead since he would win the tiebreaker of money earned this season.

Perhaps because he knows what he is plaing for, Panzica is wearing his Hublot King Power Unico Carbon and Red watch he received after his Jacksonville victory.
