Sean Winter Eliminated By Tom Marchese, Marchese Takes The Lead

May 5, 2018

Sean Winter

Tom Marchese opens to 9,000 in the hijack and Ankush Mandavia calls in the cutoff. Sean Winter (pictured) three-bets to 35,000 on the button and Marchese four-bets to 68,000.

Mandavia gets out of the way and Winter counts down his stack before calling to the Spade QDiamond JHeart 3 flop.

Marchese checks and Winter checks behind to the Club 2 turn. Marchese bets 50,000 and Winter hides his face inside his black sweater while calling to the Diamond 10 river.

Marchese checks this time, and Winter says all-in for 102,000. It takes five seconds for Marchese to call and Winter asks if they are chopping.

Club QHeart Q is shown by Marchese for a set and Winter’s Club AHeart A is no good.

Winter re-enters again and Marchese is the chip leader with 620,000. The field is down to two tables.

Tom Marchese – 620,000
Sean Winter – 100,000
