Scott Seiver opens the betting action with a raise to 5,000 from the cutoff. Blom asks how many chips Seiver is playing and then instantly calls. Tobias Reinkemeier folds his small blind and Bill Perkins calls.
The [Qs][2d][7d] flop is checked around to Blom on the button who bets 6,500. Only Seiver calls. The [5h] receives no betting as both players check, which is exactly what happens when the [Ts] lands on the river.
Seiver shows [6s][4s] for a flush and Bom mucks.
"Would you have called if I had shoved?" asked Perkins
"Yes," came the instant reply from Blom.
"What did you have?"
"I had a pair."
"Mine were threes."
"I wish you would have shoved, I had fours!"
A possible lucky escape for Perkins.
