Dominik Nitsche

Shooting Star David Williams is in the hijack and Shooting Star Dominik Nitsche (pictured) is in the small blind when the two get it all-in preflop for Nitsche’s remaining 27,700 chips. It is a flip, with Williams holding Heart ASpade Q to Nitsche’s Spade 10Heart 10.

Nitsche is curious what his tablemate Salomon Ponte thinks about how the hand will play out.

“Hey Hashtag King, who got this?”

“You got it,” Ponte quickly replies.

“C’mon bro,” Williams says with a half-smile.

“I don’t know,” Ponte backtracks. “I like you both.” Ponte then gets out his phone to film the action.

The board runs out Diamond JDiamond 6Heart 2Club 4Club 7 and Nitsche’s pocket pair holds to double him up.

Ponte is quick to assert he knew the outcome.

“Hashtag King was right, Matt,” Ponte tells Executive Tour Director Matt Savage. “I should’ve been a bounty.”

David Williams – 27,500 (28 bb)

Tablemate and Shooting Star Cliff Josephy makes conversation on the other side of the table about someone talking too much. Ponte thinks Josephy is talking about him, but Josephy politely clarifies it is someone else.

Ponte almost seems upset he is not the subject of the conversation.

“ESPN says I am the biggest douchebag in poker,” Ponte proudly declares.

“I feel like ESPN is not really prone to use the word ‘douchebag’ very often tablemate Ben Keeline replies.

“Not nearly enough, that is for sure,” Josephy quips.
