Slow Action; Few Showdowns

Apr 17, 2018

With 80 players remaining out of 92 entries for Day 1b, the action has slowed down a lot and barely any major pots emerge or play out until the river. Bryan Paris entered and sat down on the same table as Noah Boeken moments after the Dutchman was involved in a bigger pot against Preben Stokkan.

On the Heart 6Spade 6Spade 2 flop, Stokkan checked out of the big blind and subsequently check-raised from 2,200 to 4,800. Boeken called from under the gun and faced a bet of 5,900 by Stokkan on the Diamond 3 turn. That’s all it took to win the pot without showdown for the Norwegian, as Boeken double-checked his stack and flicked the cards into the muck.

Noah Boeken – 43,000
Preben Stokkan – 34,000
