Soogea Wins a Big One

May 11, 2016

Robert Soogea has started heads-up like a train, and won a couple of pots before he put himself in a position to win another in the latest hand between him and a more reserved Atanas Kavrakov.

Soogea raised pre-flop to 170,000 with the button, called by Kavrakov. The flop came Spade 9Diamond KSpade 2 and Soogea continued for 150,000, again called quickly by his Bulgarian opponent. The turn of Club 4 saw both men check but the Spade 4 on the river did no such thing.

Atanas Kavrakov bet 300,000, then Robert Soogea raised to 700,000 – a serious chunk of Kavrakov’s stack. The Bulgarian folded, but it’s hit his chip-stack hard, that hand.

Robert Soogea – 3.2 million
Atanas Kavrakov – 1.6 million
