Season XVIII of WPTDeepStacks continued on Saturday with Day 1C of WPTDeepStacks Hollywood. The last of three starting flights drew 620 entries, bringing the total field size to 1,404 entries. There were 115 from Day 1C who survived, meaning that 273 players will return at noon on Sunday for Day 2.

Steve Wilkie (pictured) bagged the Day 1C chip lead with 615,000 and is the overall chip leader of the tournament. Hailing from England, Wilkie resides in Denver, Colorado and arrived earlier this morning to play Day 1C. Things worked out well for Wilkie, especially in the latter stages of the day as he more than doubled his stack in the last three levels to vault up the counts into pole position for Day 2.

Others who bagged big stacks include Gil Nagar (537,000), Alexander Salcedo (529,000), Donys Agnelli (487,000), Vadim Rozin (472,000) and Raminder Singh (412,000).

Several WPTDeepStacks champions were in the field today and four of them made it to Day 2. Kyle Kitigawa (264,000), Vitor Coelho (231,000), Filipp Khavin (180,000) and reigning WPTDeepStacks player of the year Scott Baumstein (86,000) remain in the hunt from the Day 1C pack.

Day 2 begins at noon Sunday on Sunday and will again provide updates on all of the action.
