Tedeschi Wins a Mess of a Hand

Dec 15, 2013

Paul Tedeschi opens to 800 in mid position and Andrey Vlasenko gets his knickers in a twist when he makes it 1,025 from the button. The dealer quickly pushes the odd 25 chip back to Vlasenko to indicate that he must now call, the small blind also calls and Mateusz Moolhuizen advises the dealer that Vlasenko should be forced to raise, and not call.

The floor is called, and after a brief intrlude, Vlasenko is forced to make it 1,200, the small blind is allowed to take his call back and fold; meanwhile Tedeschi calls the raise.

The dealer puts a flop of [Ts] [8h] [2d] on the felt and Tedeschi check-calls a 1,500 bet by Vlasenko. Both players check the [6s] on the turn, and Tedeschi takes the pot with a 2,400 uncontested river bet at the sight of the [5c] on the river.

Tedeschi ~ 55,000
Vlasenko ~ 100,000
