The Action Clocks Have Been Introduced; Players Have 15 Seconds to Act Preflop

Dec 16, 2023

Stacks of Time Chips

As was mentioned in the structure sheet, the Action Clocks by Protection Poker were introduced into play before the start of Level 15, knowing that this would be shortly before the Money Bubble.

Players will have 15 seconds to make their first preflop action, and each player has been given five 30-second Time Chips which can be used to extend their time. Once a player has voluntarily put chips into the pot (not counting the blinds or ante), they will start with 30 seconds for any future decisions during the hand.

Once the field is in the money, the 15-second timer for a player’s first action will increase to 20 seconds, and at the final table, players will start with 30 seconds for all decisions.

Each player has been given five non-transferable 30-second Time Chips, which can be used to extend the timer for their decision. Players will receive an additional five Time Chips at the start of each day after today, including the six-handed televised WPT Final Table.
