The Chronicles of Charania

Shooting Star Mohsin Charania (pictured) is all-in for his last 100 in the small blind when fellow Shooting Star Garrett Greer raises to 3,400 from early position. Tom Sego calls, the player on the button calls, and the player in the big blind reraises to 21,200. The other players fold and the big blind collects the sizable side pot.

Charania turns up  and his opponent shows . Charania begins with the best of it and ends with the best of it after the board runs out .

Mohsin Charania  –  2,200  (2 bb)

Tom Sego open-shoves from middle position the next hand, expecting Charania to call all-in when action gets to him. Charania instead folds.

The next hand, Reiman opens to 2,500 from middle position and Charania calls all in for his last 1,800, telling Reiman, “You deserve it.” Considering Reiman did the bulk of the work claiming Charania’s stack, Charania thinks it is best for Reiman to take a shot at collecting his bounty.

WPT Champions Club member Brian Altman has a different plan. He moves all in from the small blind and Reiman folds.

Altman shows  and Charania turns over .

After seeing the hands, Reiman tells Altman, “I hope you lose, Brian.”

Altman does lose, as the board runs out  to pair up Charania’s queen and give him another more-than-double up.

Mohsin Charania  –  7,200  (6 bb)

Charania then folds a couple of hands before moving all in from middle position for his last 6,400. Greer calls, Sego calls on the button, and the player in the small blind calls as well.

The three players in the side pot check down the  board and Charania waits a beat after the river to see if anyone turns over their cards.

Everyone hesitates, so Charania shows his  for a rivered pair of queens. Charania triples up and is suddenly back to around starting stack after being down to a single chip and a chair.
