Thomas Paul Doubles Thru Benjamin Morgan

Sep 20, 2017

Thomas Paul

Veselin Katrandzhiev limps UTG+1 for 20,000, Benjamin Morgan limps from the hijack, and Thomas Paul (pictured) moves all in from the button for 270,000. Muarem Kica uses one of his Time Chips to tank in the big blind for nearly a minute before he folds.

Katrandzhiev folds, and Morgan calls with Diamond KSpade Q. Paul turns over Heart 8Diamond 8, and needs his hand to hold to stay alive.

The board comes Spade JDiamond 9Club 5Diamond AClub 3 — Morgan flops a gutshot straight draw, but improves no further. Paul wins the pot with his pocket eights to double up in chips.

Thomas Paul  –  611,000  (31 bb)
