Two players with varying fortunes on the immediate run-up to this monster Day 2 of the WPT500 have had their luck switched within minutes of the first level of the day, Level 15, starting.
Ludovic Geilich has played five Day 1 flights to grab a Day 2 seat, so needs to run it up to stand a chance of that precious lifeblood of the poker pro – return on investment. Having come through the turbo a bit short, he’s now chipping up nicely and giving us a trademark smile (pictured above)
Simon Tomsett has busted the tournament completely, when he raised pre-flop with A-T, was called by A-Q and got it all-in on an [AcTdQs] flop. That’s got to be the coldest desk since George Groves was flattened by Carl Froch in their rematch!
