Tony Gargano Wins a Three-Way All-In

Jul 9, 2021

Tony Gargano

Tony Gargano raises under the gun to 5,000, a player in middle position calls, and the player in the cutoff moves all in for 17,000. The player in the small blind moves all in over the top for about 95,000, and Gargano calls all in for 38,000. The middle-position player folds.

All three players turn over their cards, and here they are in descending order of chip counts:

Small Blind:  Spade QHeart Q
Tony Gargano:  Spade ADiamond A
Cutoff:  Club QClub J

The board comes Club ADiamond 10Diamond 6Spade 2Club 8 — the cutoff flops a gutshot straight draw, but never catches up to Gargano, who flopped a set of aces. Gargano scoops the entire pot, doubling thru the small blind and eliminating the player in the cutoff.

Tony Gargano  –  102,000  (51 bb)
