Trip Nines Good For Gold

Austin Buchanan opens with a raise to 20,000 from middle position, Jamie Gold calls from the hijack seat, and Brian Reinert calls as well from the button.

He’d done the same a few hands before in a hand versus Jason Helder when Helder called Gold’s bet, a hand Gold subsequently folded on a later street.

The river is the [7h] and Gold fires 75,000. Reinert thinks a beat then calls, Gold shows [Ah][9h] for trip nines, and Reinert mucks. Reinert is down to about 505,000, while Gold has about 610,000.
