Tsehai Goes For the Double at Fallsview Casino

Feb 23, 2016

With 10 players left in the World Poker Tour Niagara Falls Main Event there’s a very good chance that Samuel Tsehai goes back-to-back at Fallsview Casino after winning the $2,500 earlier this week.

The final table of the $2,500 event was being played out while Day 1 of the Main Event was going on, and Tsehai came out on top beating a huge field that created a prize pool of $1.8 million.

Tsehai hails from Burnaby, British Columbia and collected the first-place prize of $292,561 for the biggest score of his live poker career, and he looks to top that today in the Main Event.

Having a good showing in the $2,500 event seems to set a precedent for the Main Event, as several other players ran deep in both events. Jordan Saccucci finished fourth in the $2,500 and is our current chip leader in the Main Event, Andy Spears finished 10th in the $2,500 and 13th in the Main Event, while Duc Hung Nguyen finished 14th in both the Main Event and the $2,500.
