Jeff Gross doesn’t just know his way around a poker table, but has also become a multimedia poker maverick. With a Twitch online stream, YouTube podcast, and other ventures, Gross has turned his love of poker into much more than just a card game.

As Day 2 of the WPT Seminole Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open got underway, Gross was one of those returning to the action. Life at the felt and behind the mic has been good for the 33-year-old poker pro from Ann Arbor, Michigan. On his podcast, Gross interviews some of the biggest players in the game and discusses issues within the industry.

Now sponsored by partypoker, on his Twitch Poker Flow Show Gross also streams his play online and tries to entertain his viewers with family stories and tales from the felt. A deep run here at the Seminole Hard Rock might earn a mention on the show as well.

“It’s entertainment, it’s fun,” he says. “It’s a live stream and I present content, everything you can imagine poker – start to finish – poker and family. It shows you the life of a poker player.”

Many players have made efforts at social media and streaming in recent years, but Gross and some others have been successful in making it a profitable endeavor. He’s built a multimedia platform that many players find enjoyable. Beyond the two shows, he also sells Poker Flow Show clothing and other merchandise. He also has several other sponsorship and partnership deals in place because of the audience he’s built.

“It’s amazing, it’s how I get sponsorships and deals,” he says of the Twitch venture. “It’s great, I get to be an ambassador for the game and make it fun for other players.”

At the tables, Gross has more than $3.3 million in live tournament winnings and also much more online and in live cash games.

“It’s going alright,” he says of his run so far. “I had to re-enter once, and I have 53,000. It could be better but I’m still in.”
