Four Players Bag Half a Million on Day 1F

Day 1F of the World Poker Tour World Championship $600 NLH $1 Million Guarantee drew 574 entries to bring the running total up to 2,949. It was the second flight of the day, following Day 1E’s 867 entries. 

Seventy-one players advanced from the day, which finished without hand-for-hand play when Francis Anderson and Jihad Louali knocked out players on two different tables at the same time. Anderson vaulted to 532,000 and finished third in chips for the night, behind Wernnie Saechao’s 540,000 and Jordan Hufty’s 535,000. David Baize also cleared half a million, bagging 515,000.

Six flights have now played to their conclusion, and the final two are set to take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. The evening flight is a turbo tournament, meaning blinds will last 20 minutes, as opposed to the 30-minute length from the first seven. The current prize pool is over $1.5 million and will climb above $2 million for all in-the-money finishers to compete for.
