Vahe Martirosyan is the Player to Catch as the Final Day of the Main Event Gets Underway at Noon

It’s here. The final day of the Main Event has arrived. There are 12 players still in with a chance of winning the WPT title, trophy and the all-important first-place prize.

It all begins in a little over an hour, here at Casino Sochi and in a thrilling day yesterday, it was Vahe Martirosyan who bagged biggest. He brings 3,255,000 through, just a few blinds ahead of Dmitriy Ponomarev (3,065,000).

Vlada Stojanovic comes through in third with (2,145,000), partypoker Ambassador Anatoly Filatov starts in fourth place (1,965,000) and Aleksey Badulin (1,790,000) completes the top five stacks.

It all begins at noon today, local time, and there will be the live stream filmed from start to finish. To ensure player fairness, this will be aired on a 30-minute delay.

Players return to play Level 27, with blinds up to 25,000-50,000 50,000 big blind ante. There will be a break at the end of every second level (every two hours) and it has yet to be confirmed if there will be a dinner break.
