Welcome to Day 2 at WPT Caribbean

Tournament Area Welcome to Day 2 at the WPT Caribbean Main Event on the island of St. Maarten. We have 53 players returning today and they will be gunning to advance to the top 15 spots in the money. The top 15 players will make at least $4,920, and the eventual champion will get the top prize of $127,680 at the conclusion of the final table on Friday, November 7.

The player with the best shot at making the money at the start of play today will be WPT Champions Club member Jonathan Roy. He has the largest chip stack of all the runners from the two starting flights with a stack of 236,700. Bruce Kramer was the leader from Day 1A with 183,800, and rounding out the top five are Mike Linster (146,400), Anthony Zinno (136,900), and Alain Medesan (133,300).

Notables that have advanced to Day 2 include Mike Leah, Barry and Allyn Shulman, Mihai Minole, Darren Elias, Michael Esposito, Will Failla, Marvin Rettenmaier, Micah Raskin, Allen Kessler, and defending WPT Caribbean champion Tony Dunst.

Cards will get into the air in about 30 minutes, when the field will take their seats once again. They will be playing 90 minute levels after the first level today, so expect the returnees to settle in and play some serious poker in paradise.
