WPT Player of the Year Leader Cate Hall Spotted

Feb 21, 2016

Cate Hall recored her first live tournament cash just over a year ago at the WPT Borgata in Atlantic City, where just finished 10th in a $230 tournament. Fast forward to today, and she’s leading the World PokerTour Player of the Year race heading into the final months of the season.

Hall cashed in the WPT Borgata Championship finishing 86th, followed by a fifth place in the WPT Maryland Live! for $58,589, a 64th in the WPT Montreal event and her biggest score to date, fifth in the WPT Five Diamond for $291,320.

Recently – again at the Borgata in Atlantic City – Hall notched up another cash, bringing her total for the season up to five. Hall has 1,550 points, which is just slightly more than Kevin Eyster who sits in second place with 1,525.

The WPT POY race is still wide open, but for now Hall’s the favorite to collect the trophy at the end of the season.
